In the Hands of the Master Potter
Jovannah Poor Bear-Adams | Sabbath | January 24, 2025
On January 24, alumna Jovannah Poor Bear-Adams returned to HIS with her family for a weekend of spiritually uplifting messages.
In her Sabbath message, titled “In the Hands of the Master Potter,” Mrs. Poor Bear-Adams explained the stages of making pottery. She used these stages as an analogy of how God will sometimes prepare us and then place us in what seems to be “impossible” situations—and that oftentimes those situations are tailor-made for us. All we need to do is surrender and ask God for wisdom, help, and guidance to navigate them. She also compared it to our healing journeys and how we need to take the time to ask for help, do the work, and pray. These will often take us into the first and second firings in the kiln of Christ.
