HIS NATION
Native American Camp Meeting
“Native American Camp Meeting (NACM) is a very special time of year. It is a time of gathering, camaraderie, spiritual uplifting, and renewal. Holbrook Indian School (HIS) has been blessed to be the host site for this beautiful event for our brothers and sisters three years running. One of the most important people who spearheads this event is Pastor Dale Wolcott. We are thankful to him for his dedication and passion in his role as director of Arizona Conference Native American Ministries.”
Understanding
“As a kid, I didn't necessarily want to be right all the time; I just wanted to understand and be understood. Working at HIS, I'm learning that—more than effective discipline, more than eagle-eyed supervision, more than anything—understanding the boys and girls that eat, sleep, and play here is the most important thing.“
Hashknife Pony Express: An Annual Community Tradition

Outdoor School - Bryce Canyon
This year, for outdoor school, the eighth through -12th graders went to Bryce Canyon National Park. We stayed a week out in the wilderness. As we spent time out of school, staff and students started forming a closer bond with each other and God. Before outdoor school, the seniors and juniors left a day early to secure campsites for everyone.
Running for HIS Benefit
On Sunday, September 17th, our students and staff gathered behind our gymnasium to prepare for our participation in the NAD 5K Virtual Run/Walk event. Our beautiful campus boasts several wonderful walking trails and roads that allow our staff and students to run or walk laps.

Outdoor School - San Diego
Every year, the eighth- through 12th-grade students help to plan and coordinate the details of their Outdoor School excursion. Outdoor School is one week of classes in the great outdoors. Each year the students travel to one of five locations that have been selected. Four of the five locations include Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park.
